Salamander Raises $201M For Asian Oil, Gas Exploration

Law360, New York (April 27, 2012, 2:19 PM ET) -- British oil and gas company Salamander Energy PLC, which focuses on offshore exploration and production in Asia, has raised £124 million ($201.3 million) from London investors to fund the expansion of operations in Thailand and Indonesia, according to news reports Friday.

The London Stock Exchange-listed company issued new shares in a fully underwritten offering at 130 pence, a 49 percent discount from the stock's Thursday closing, the London Evening Standard reported Friday.
