Duke Energy Nabs 10-MW Solar Farm From Solon

Law360, New York (May 02, 2012, 5:06 PM ET) -- Duke Energy Corp.'s renewables unit has purchased a 10-megawatt solar project in Arizona from Solon Corp. that upon completion will be able to produce enough electricity to power 2,000 homes, the buyer said Wednesday.

Electricity produced by the Black Mountain Solar Project near Kingman, Ariz. — expected to be commercially operable by October — will be bought by UniSource Energy Sources under a 20-year power purchase agreement, according to Duke Energy Renewables LLC.
