Western Wind Makes Play For 4,000-MW Power Portfolio

Law360, New York (May 16, 2012, 5:24 PM ET) -- Western Wind Energy Corp. announced Wednesday a planned $20 million acquisition of a 4,000-megawatt wind power portfolio from CGEI Wind, which encompasses the bulk of the latter company's wind assets.

The acquisition, which includes near-term projects in Hawaii and Utah along with other large holdings in California, will be funded through the transfer of 8 million common shares in Western Wind at the value of $2.50 per share to CGEI Wind.
