GOP Demands Docs From Interior On Green Energy Loans

Law360, New York (May 30, 2012, 1:53 PM ET) -- Republican lawmakers, pressing what they see as a powerful indictment of President Barack Obama’s energy policies, on Tuesday demanded reams of documentation from the U.S. Department of the Interior as they continue scrutinizing loan guarantees given to renewable-energy companies.

Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., and Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala., gave Interior Secretary Ken Salazar two weeks to comply with a request they said was initiated six months ago but never adequately fulfilled.
