Law360, New York (May 30, 2012, 4:08 PM ET) -- The U.S. Department of the Interior on Wednesday identified a 743,000-acre block of federal waters the agency considers most suitable for wind energy development off the coast of Massachusetts, moving the state closer to hosting commercial wind farms.
The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management and the Massachusetts government completed their definition of a Wind Energy Area, or WEA, in waters off the state’s southeastern tip, saying the land had high potential for commercial leasing.
