Law360, New York (August 31, 2012, 6:26 PM ET) -- The U.S. Chamber of Commerce on Friday told the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency that it opposes proposed new air quality standards that would regulate smoke, soot and other pollution, calling the rules unnecessary and harmful to business.
The new standards, proposed in June, followed a D.C. Circuit ruling requiring the EPA to expedite an update of its rule for fine particulate matter.
