Dem Urges DOI To Block CNOOC-Nexen Oil Lease Transfer

Law360, New York (September 18, 2012, 3:22 PM ET) -- A top Democrat on Tuesday called on the U.S. Department of the Interior to bar China National Offshore Oil Corp. from acquiring a set of royalty-free drilling leases in the Gulf of Mexico from Nexen Inc. in its $15 billion purchase of the Canadian company.
