High Gas Prices Spur Calif. Panel To Examine Oil Refineries

Law360, San Diego (October 11, 2012, 9:51 PM ET) -- In the wake of steep gas prices and an announcement that Chevron Corp.’s refinery in Richmond, Calif., won’t reopen a damaged unit until next year, a California legislative committee plans to hold a special hearing on the safety and reliability of the state’s gas production system and how those factors affect prices at the pump.
