Law360, New York (October 12, 2012, 7:41 PM ET) -- Royal Dutch Shell PLC has asked the U.S. Commerce Department for approval to begin exporting crude oil, the company said Friday, joining a growing list of oil companies looking to capitalize on an increase in domestic oil supplies.
