Law360, New York (October 23, 2012, 6:14 PM ET) -- Northern States Power Co. asked a federal judge Tuesday to force Columbia Casualty Insurance Co. and Continental Insurance Co. to cover its costs in an environmental remediation at a former manufactured gas plant in Wisconsin.
In 2011, the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources notified Northern States that it was responsible for the investigation and remediation of property near Owen Park in Eau Claire, Wis., the site of the former manufactured gas plant. The company said it is currently complying with the order.
