Icahn, Transocean's New Top Investor, Pushes For Dividend

Law360, New York (January 28, 2013, 1:46 PM ET) -- Carl Icahn, who captivated Wall Street last week trading on-air barbs with Pershing Square Capital Management LLC's Bill Ackman, is now the biggest shareholder in offshore oil fleet manager Transocean Ltd., revealing a 5.6 percent stake on Friday.

Icahn said in a securities filing that he wants the Switzerland-based company, whose stock is up 28 percent since Christmas, to issue a dividend of at least $4 per share and that he may nominate his own directors to the company's board.
