Law360, New York (January 10, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- J. Gregory Copeland, a senior energy partner in Baker Botts LLP's Houston office, will be nominated by President George W. Bush to serve as the U.S. Department of Energy's general counsel, the White House announced Thursday.
Copeland, a member of Baker Botts's Executive Committee and the chair of its Energy Litigation practice group, will be formally nominated on Jan. 21, according to the firm. He will still need to be confirmed by the U.S. Senate after a confirmation hearing.
