Law360, New York (January 25, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- The Texas Supreme Court ruled Friday that plaintiffs in the consolidated civil cases over the fatal 2005 explosion at BP Products North America Inc.'s Texas City refinery cannot depose former BP Plc chief executive Lord John Browne without certain restrictions.
The Texas high court’s decision overturned an October 2006 ruling in the 212th District Court in Galveston County, which tossed out an agreement between the plaintiffs and BP that outlined certain conditions and restrictions under which Lord Browne could be deposed.
