Deals Rumor Mill: Ausgrid, Sao Paulo Stock Exchange, Alibaba

By Benjamin Horney (February 26, 2016, 4:03 PM EST) -- China's largest electricity distributor and the investment vehicle of billionaire Li Ka-Shing are two of several parties mulling bids for Australian power network Ausgrid, Bloomberg reported Friday. According to the report, State Grid Corp. of China and Cheung Kong Infrastructure Holdings Ltd. plan to launch preliminary bids before March 1. Others interested in the unit include China Southern Power Grid Co. Ltd. and Qatar Investment Authority, the report added, and Ausgrid could be worth more than AU$10 billion (US$7.2 billion) in a deal....
