Deals Rumor Mill: Emerson Electric, Twitter, CK Hutchison

By Benjamin Horney (July 8, 2016, 5:19 PM EDT) -- Leroy-Somer, an alternator business owned by Emerson Electric, is up for grabs, Reuters reported on Friday, and private equity firm Clayton Dubilier & Rice as well as two Chinese suitors have expressed interest. According to the report, the unit could be worth as much as $1.1 billion. Wolong Electric is one of the Chinese suitors, the report said, and the identity of the other was not disclosed. Final bids are expected to be submitted later this month, the report noted....
