Law360, New York (March 13, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- Natural gas producer Bill Barrett Corp. has lost a preliminary bid to stop the government from allowing coal exploration in a portion of northeastern Wyoming that the company claims will damage its natural gas wells.
Judge Richard J. Leon of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia ruled that BBC had failed to show that the exploration would cause irreparable harm to the company, and denied its bid to enjoin the U.S. Department of the Interior.
