Law360, New York (May 19, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- Georgia-Pacific LLC has agreed to pay approximately $13 million to contain PCBs at two former disposal areas of a Michigan Superfund site, the U.S. Department of Justice and Environmental Protection Agency announced Tuesday.
The settlement, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Michigan, will see the Atlanta-based paper company pay more than $252,000 to the EPA for past containment activities at the Kalamazoo River Superfund site in Allegan and Kalamazoo Counties, Mich.
