Law360, New York (September 03, 2009, 5:01 PM ET) -- Hartford Casualty Insurance Co. has filed suit against poultry processor and Hartford policyholder George's Inc., as well as more than a dozen other insurance companies, in a bid to reduce its payout for damages related to pollution of the Illinois River Watershed.
Hartford filed a suit for declaratory judgment Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma, asking the court to reduce its damages.
