EPA Set To Nix Approval For Bayer Pesticide

Law360, New York (February 08, 2010, 7:41 PM ET) -- Having failed to prolong a stay for an appeal, Bayer CropScience LP will soon have to quit selling its pesticide spirotetramat while the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency voids Bayer's registration for the pesticide and starts the approval process anew.

Judge Denise L. Cote of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York gave Bayer the brush Monday, finding little merit behind its argument for extending a stay on the December order and halting the EPA’s new registration process for the controversial pesticide....
