EPA Agrees To Take On Ocean Acidification

Law360, New York (March 11, 2010, 7:10 PM ET) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has agreed to begin considering how to address ocean acidification under the Clean Water Act, settling the Center for Biological Diversity's suit accusing the agency of failing to recognize the impact of acidification on Washington state's coastal waters.

The environmental group filed a notice Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington indicating that it was dropping the case after reaching a settlement a day earlier with the EPA.
