Law360, New York (May 05, 2010, 1:54 PM ET) -- The Boeing Co. has agreed to pay $2 million and undertake two habitat restoration projects to resolve its liability for the release of oil and hazardous substances from Boeing facilities along the Duwamish Waterway in Washington state.
On Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington, the U.S. Department of Justice simultaneously filed a complaint alleging violations under the Clean Water Act and other statutes and a consent decree outlining the steps the company has agreed to take.
