EPA Threatened With Suit Over Pulp Mill Pollution Rules

Law360, New York (July 23, 2010, 4:40 PM ET) -- An environmental group has said it will sue the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency if it does not update the Clean Air Act standards on kraft pulp mills, which process wood chips into fibers used to make paper products.

The EPA is 16 years past its deadline to review the air pollution standards for the mills, the Center for Biological Diversity said in a 60-day notice letter sent to the agency Thursday.
