Law360, New York (October 20, 2010, 12:20 PM ET) -- The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office is weighing the option of expanding a pilot program that pushes applications for “green” technology patents to the head of the examination line, on the heels of committing to a second peer-to-patent initiative that opens up patent applications to public input.
The USPTO asked for comments Wednesday on the effects of prolonging the green technology pilot program until Dec. 31, 2011, and including applications that were filed before the U.S. Department of Commerce introduced the program in December.
