Law360, New York (January 20, 2011, 3:09 PM ET) -- An environmental group has sued the federal government to block oil and gas drilling near Denver, saying more energy development will make the already smoggy area worse.
The federal Bureau of Land Management, which issues drilling permits, did not even bother to check what drilling would do to air quality when it authorized the energy development, New Mexico-based WildEarth Guardians said in a suit filed Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado.
