Law360, New York (January 25, 2011, 5:04 PM ET) -- The Ninth Circuit on Tuesday shot down the federal government's bid for a rehearing of a decision that forced it to stop a logging project in a Montana national forest.
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit denied petitions for a rehearing and a rehearing en banc filed by the U.S. Forest Service, which had tried to get the appellate court to reconsider its case and overturn a preliminary injunction.
