Law360, New York (February 08, 2011, 4:35 PM ET) -- Three green groups have accused the federal Bureau of Land Management of failing to properly address climate and energy concerns before selling oil and gas leases in Montana.
Montana Environmental Information Center, along with Earthworks’ Oil & Gas Accountability Project and WildEarth Guardians, lodged the suit in the U.S. District Court for the District of Montana on Monday, asserting BLM’s sale of the leases in 2008 and 2010 violated the National Environmental Policy Act.
