Law360, New York (February 10, 2011, 7:23 PM ET) -- Cement and concrete products giant Cemex Inc. will pay a $1.4 million penalty and spend $2 million on pollution controls as part of a proposed settlement over alleged Clean Air Act violations at a plant in Fairborn, Ohio.
The U.S. Department of Justice and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency on Thursday announced the settlement, which will be lodged as a consent decree in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.
