Mo. Looks To Rein In Farm Odor Nuisance Suits

Law360, New York (March 31, 2011, 8:06 PM ET) -- A unique provision of Missouri law allowing large-scale livestock operations to face repeat lawsuits for odor issues has made the state fertile ground for multimillion-dollar jury verdicts in nuisance suits against agribusiness companies, but that could change if state legislators pass a bill aimed at reversing the trend.
