Law360, New York (May 12, 2011, 3:59 PM ET) -- The U.S. House of Representatives approved legislation Thursday that would open up large portions of the East Coast, Southern California, the Arctic Ocean and Alaska's Bristol Bay to offshore oil and gas drilling.
The bill, known as the Reversing President Obama’s Offshore Moratorium Act, passed by a 243-179 vote, with 21 Democrats joining all but nine Republicans in support.
