Texas House Passes Fracking Fluid Disclosure Bill

Law360, New York (May 12, 2011, 2:40 PM ET) -- The Texas House of Representatives on Wednesday passed a bill requiring drilling companies to publicly disclose the chemical contents of fluids used in hydraulic fracturing, after carving out some exemptions to protect companies' trade secrets.

The bill, if it also passes the Texas Senate, would become one of the nation's first laws requiring disclosure of fracking chemicals.
