Law360, New York (July 11, 2011, 5:32 PM ET) -- A Native American tribe in Massachusetts filed suit Wednesday against the U.S. Department of the Interior in an effort to block the construction of the planned 130-turbine wind farm in the Nantucket Sound.
The Wampanoag Tribe of Gay Head, Mass., is seeking a revocation of the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation and Enforcement’s approval for the controversial Cape Wind project, saying the agency disregarded adverse impacts on the tribe’s historic and cultural resources.
