Law360, New York (January 10, 2012, 7:41 PM ET) -- A Blackstone Group LP unit planning a $2 billion power line that would bring renewable energy from Quebec to New York is negotiating a deal with environmental groups that could see the project approved in February, according to a Tuesday filing.
An affiliate of Blackstone's Transmission Developers Inc., which controls the 1,000-megawatt Champlain Hudson Power Express project, told New York's Public Service Commission that “extended and extensive” negotiations with groups like Riverkeeper Inc. and the Adirondack Council are moving forward.
