Republicans Seek To Block GHG Rules For Power Plants

Law360, New York (February 02, 2012, 1:49 PM ET) -- Three Republican leaders in the U.S. House Energy and Commerce Committee asked the Office of Management and Budget Wednesday to block pending greenhouse gas regulations for power plants, arguing the rules would drive up electricity costs and send jobs overseas.

The OMB is currently reviewing the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's proposal for new source performance standards, which target greenhouse gas emissions from new and modified power plants.
