Enviro Study Of $800M NC Toll Project Flawed, 4th Circ. Says

Law360, New York (May 04, 2012, 2:14 PM ET) -- The Fourth Circuit on Thursday overturned a ruling allowing North Carolina transportation officials to move forward with an $800 million toll road project, finding that state and federal agencies failed to fully assess the environmental impact of the project.

A three-judge panel found that the North Carolina Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration violated the National Environmental Protection Act when they put out a flawed environmental impact study relating to the Monroe Connector Bypass project in the Charlotte area.
