AES Brings In $134M For Nearly All Its Chinese Assets

Law360, New York (May 07, 2012, 9:02 PM ET) -- The AES Corp. will sell its interests in several Chinese power plants for a total of $134 million, unloading the bulk of its business in the country as part of plan to swiftly sell off $2 billion in noncore assets, it said Monday.

So far, the asset sale has raked in $890 million between eight transactions, according to the Arlington, Va.-based global power company. Six of the deals, worth a combined $756 million, have already closed.
