Law360, New York (May 16, 2012, 1:08 PM ET) -- Solar power CEOs whose companies have received $5 billion in federal loan support fended off allegations of political favoritism Wednesday when congressional Republicans again took aim at President Barack Obama's clean energy financing programs.
Executives from BrightSource Energy Inc. and First Solar Inc., two of the biggest builders of U.S. solar projects, defended their U.S. Department of Energy loans and guarantees, which backed four projects totalling 1,330 megawatts of new capacity.
