Law360, New York (May 18, 2012, 3:11 PM ET) -- The U.S. House of Representatives voted Friday to instruct congressional negotiators working out a final version of transportation funding legislation to include a provision that would require approval of the Keystone XL pipeline.
In a 261-152 vote, the House approved a motion by Rep. John Barrow, D-Ga., instructing House conferees to insist that the provision remain in the final bill, which would reauthorize federal funding for highway programs.
