Law360, New York (June 08, 2012, 8:24 PM ET) -- Over the objections of environmentalists and town fathers, a New Jersey state commission on Thursday approved Spectra Energy Corp.'s proposal to lay a natural-gas pipeline through a portion of Jersey City's Liberty State Park, moving the energy giant's $1.2 billion project one step closer to reality.
Spectra plans to build the 20-mile tube through parts of Bayonne, Jersey City and offshore Hoboken en route to Manhattan.
