Law360, New York (June 28, 2012, 6:28 PM ET) -- The U.S. House of Representatives on Thursday released a report detailing the compromises made to reach a sweeping $120 billion deal to extend highway transportation funding to 2014 on the eve of expiration, including the elimination of dozens of programs and various environmental concessions.
The 600-page bicameral report details the consolidation of the number of highway programs by two-thirds, eliminating dozens in order to free up more cash for states and municipalities to use on their most critical transportation system needs.
