Pa. Bill Would Make DEP Disclose Fracking Test Results

Law360, Philadelphia (January 25, 2013, 3:51 PM ET) -- A Pennsylvania lawmaker who has battled with the state’s Department of Environmental Protection over water tests connected to natural gas drilling introduced legislation Wednesday that would require the department to disclose all of its testing results to landowners and leaseholders.

The bill put forward by Rep. Jesse White, D-Allegheny, would obligate the DEP to put forth full and complete testing results at no cost within five business days of receiving a written request, or face civil penalties of up to $1,500.
