Law360, New York (January 31, 2013, 6:04 PM ET) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency proposed Thursday to raise standards for four types of biofuels, requiring refiners and importers to increase the amount of renewable fuels in U.S. fuel market by 1.35 billion gallons over 2012.
The agency is seeking to require 16.55 billion gallons of biomass-based diesel, advanced biofuels and cellulosic biofuels to be blended into the total volume of gasoline in 2013.
