ATP Owes $55M In Fines Over Covert Oil Discharge, US Says

Law360, New York (February 12, 2013, 7:28 PM ET) -- The U.S. hit ATP Oil & Gas Corp. with a suit in Louisiana on Monday saying the bankrupt energy company is liable for as much as $55 million in penalties for concealing the discharge of oil into the Gulf of Mexico with covertly injected chemical dispersants.
