Law360, Philadelphia (March 07, 2013, 3:42 PM ET) -- A Pennsylvania state representative on Thursday introduced three bills aimed at stepping up regulation of natural gas drilling in the Marcellus Shale, part of a continued Democratic push for heightened protections from the oil and gas industry.
Rep. Scott Conklin, D-Centre, seeks to require drillers to give public notice of their intent to drill, to create a toll-free number for reporting drilling violations, and to form a special response team to handle drilling-related emergencies.
