Wyo. Residents Blast EPA For Vacating Fracking Report

Law360, New York (June 21, 2013, 3:37 PM ET) -- Pavillion, Wyo.-area residents and environmental groups on Friday denounced the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's decision to back away from a draft report linking hydraulic fracturing from Encana Corp. wells to water pollution, claiming state officials aren't willing to hold the energy company accountable.

Pavillion Area Concerned Citizens and other nonprofits said the state will work with Encana to "cover up the mess they created" in the area's drinking water, which federal testing has revealed contains unsafe amounts of chemicals used in gas production and fracking fluids....
