2 Pa. Suits Dropped Over NJ Conrail Derailment

Law360, Philadelphia (August 01, 2013, 5:32 PM ET) -- More than 120 people who filed suit in Pennsylvania against Consolidated Rail Corp. over a train derailment and vinyl chloride spill in Paulsboro, N.J., have dropped their suits and will refile in New Jersey now that a judge in a related case has determined that the litigation has no connection to Pennsylvania.

The decision follows a Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas decision in a separate case against Conrail over the November 2012 derailment that the suit had no bearing on Pennsylvania and belonged in New Jersey. That...
