Law360, New York (July 07, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- Ciba Corp. has reportedly been slapped with a lawsuit by a slew of Alabama plaintiffs who claim the manufacturing company failed to contain “hazardous and toxic substances,” polluting hundreds of acres with the chemicals.
The lawsuit, filed in Washington County Circuit Court by about 100 McIntosh, Ala., area residents, alleges that Ciba engaged in “wrongful conduct [that] resulted in the interference with plaintiffs' right to the exclusive use and enjoyment of their properties through the invasion of hazardous and toxic substances contaminating plaintiffs' properties,” the Associated...
