Ruling Gives Plaintiff Hope In Toxic Cleanup Case

Law360, New York (August 13, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- A federal judge issued a mixed ruling on Monday in a complex environmental case in which Texas-based aircraft maintenance company Aviall Services Inc. sued after spending more than $14 million to clean up polluted land it bought from an Ohio-based aircraft maintenance company.

In the suit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas, Aviall says it bought four pieces of land in Texas from Cooper Industries LLC and later found them to be polluted.
