Law360, New York (October 17, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- Almost 20 percent of timber imported to the European Union may come from illegal sources, but that could change under newly proposed legislation geared toward curbing illicit logging and deforestation, as well as addressing climate change, the European Commission said Friday.
