Law360, New York (November 03, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has reached a rapprochement with Bacardi Corp., agreeing to bury the hatchet over alleged Clean Water Act violations at the alcohol giant's rum manufacturing facility in Puerto Rico.
On Monday, the EPA announced that a truce had been reached regarding the rum maker's plant in Catano, Puerto Rico, with Bacardi agreeing to fork over $550,000 as well as donating and preserving land valued at $1 million.
