Law360, New York (November 14, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- An environmental group is threatening to sue the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for failing to respond to its petition seeking stricter standards for ocean water quality.
The Center for Biological Diversity said Friday it warned the EPA of its intent to file suit if the agency does not respond within 60 days to the group’s petition filed in December that claims the ocean is absorbing large amounts of carbon dioxide that is causing it to become more acidic.
